Enable Admin Share in Windows 7 and 8

What is admin share? It is special share that allow computer administrator to execute file or install setting to remote computer.

you need credential and admin share must be enabled. By default admin share is disable in windows 7 and 8. first you need to enable admin share using simple registry setting.

Make sure file and printer sharing is On in remote computer.
  1. Press Windows + R.
  2. Type regedit.exe and click ok.
  3. Search for the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

  4. Under this key, Right click and create new DWORD called LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy.
  5. set it to 1 and reboot.
Admin share is now enabled and ready to be remote accessed.
