From a long time i am searching for a solution of blue screen error which occour in installation time of xp over win7 or vista(migration) ,i got three solution of this problem and i want to share it with you.
ok lets start with first simple solution:
Solution:1 Change the Hard disk mode from bios setting.
This is the first solution,if RED highlighted option is available in bios setting of your computer then
change it toIDE and your problem solved. but in some pcs this option is not available so for that we apply the second solution.
Solution:2 download appropriate driver and copy it in floppy drive. and waiting for the below option of windows installation.
Press F6 when it ask for it will automatically load driver from floppy disk. and install it remember Driver should be valid for your hard disk model otherwise it gives error driver file is corrupted.
Step:1 get blank cd or rewritable cd,i choose rewritable so i can test different drivers if one is not suitable or giving error.
Step:2 download NLite tools for make updated cd. Here is link NLite tool and install it. and follow the below screenshot instruction.
Step:3 Browse xp folder that you copied in harddisk.
Step:4 Select Driver.
Select Drivers and Bootable ISO Options. Press Next -> Next two times.
Select appropriate hard disk drivers here is link For Sony Vaio ,you can check support for other hard disk(may be it work for other laptop) in readme file inside drivers folder.

Step:5 Start driver updating process.
Step:6 Write updated xp to cd.
Follow the step shown in above image for write the updated xp in cd.
