Install Microsoft essential without genuine windows

Micorsoft security essential required genuine windows. i tried many methods to make windows genuine, some of them not working. After dozen of googling found one easy way to make windows xp sp3 genuine using fake key and bit of registry changes.

Deactivate window xp

for renew the license you have to remove old license by bit of registry changes.

1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run dialog box.
2. Type Regedit.
3. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents key.
4. On left side find OOBETimer. Open it and clear its all contents.

Reactivate the windows xp

By following above step windows all license would be cleared. next procedure is to enter a new key. Open Run Dialog again and paste following path %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a and press enter.

1. When the Let's activate Windows window appears, choose Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows and then click Next.
2. Click the Change Product Key button at the bottom of the window.
3. Type this key DCK39-9YQYJ-CXJTQ-9W68B-QGQW3 in textboxes and then click the Update button.
4. If you'd rather postpone activating Windows XP until a later date, you can click the Remind me later button.
5. After activating Windows XP, you can verify that activation was successful by executing this command %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a again.
